Just throwing this out there but looking around for a desktop motherboard that supports PCI-E bifurcation 4x4x4x4 , Have had a search around but don't see anything available here. Might be looking in the wrong places , Would need to support 6th Gen i7 6700k.

Don't know unless you ask 😀

You are going to be pushing it (as you know) :)

You need a LGA1151 for 6th Gen.
And Z170 series

The only board which I can see that supports 4 PCIE @ x4 speed is the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-GAMING G1

Not a lot of these were sold in NZ (they were a $1000+ Motherboard afterall.)

Most boards topped out at 3 x Gfx slots as that was the first Gen with M2 and that took 4 x PCIE lanes to start with.

Best of luck with your hunt.

& of course those were discontinued in 2015/2016 - you won't find new,
For this - Trademe/ebay is your friend here - Maybe aliexpress could be an option if you enjoy fighting with drivers.

This is true, I have a gigabyte Z10-HD3-CF which has hardware raid, May or may not be able to use this to turn all drives into one.

Wanted to use the card in my UNRAID server as have 4 1tb nvme drives doing nothing.
