Well if I was selling that setup, and someone offered me $500, I'd be jumping for joy.

The system itself isn’t worth much but the amount of storage will certainly bump it up.

Friends have had trouble moving haswell i5 rigs for $350-400 but this was before covid so I dont know how demand is these days.

If you’re including monitor and storage maybe $800-$1000 but likely people will want to part it rather than buy all, you may make more by doing this.

I'd say it was worth $350 (excluding monitor)

Unknown brand monitor worth maybe $100.

excluding the monitor ..... consider that as separate

No matter what you stick in it, its still a rather old i5
Someone buying an old i5 will be looking for lowest price , they wont care about all the other stuff in there .
$150 - $250 .

You might be better off removing anything of some used value & selling that separately , then sell the PC as a basic i5 PC .
Unless you can find someone actually looking for a old PC with all those extra HD's etc...

I've got the same monitor, they were higher end 27" IPS 1440p panels with a cheap case slapped around them for the Korean market, they were super popular a few years ago. My only complaint is they are DVI Dual Link only, but buying a similar quality monitor new would easily cost more than the PC is worth, and if it wasn't for the dead pixel I'd just about say it was till worth more lol.

Thanks all - I'm realistic with the price of second hand computer gear - wasn't expecting it to to return me heaps.

I think I'll pull all of the hard drives out and get rid of them separately and sell the PC as a basic set-up with the 256GB SSD.

As luck would have it I have just received an e-mail from TradeMe saying no success fees in the computer category this Saturday so that's good timing!  Plus I've got a Synology Diskstation DS413j here with 2 x WD Red 3TB drives which I've been meaning to move for a while.

Might have a complete clean out cos I know I've got a couple of other PC's, monitors, hard drives and other bits and pieces lying around.

Cheers for your input team!

I would leave in the ssd and 1 2 TB drive and ask $300 without screen, or $450 with.

Mention that it can be overclocked stable at (4.5GHZ)

It doesnt have enough bling with the case not having a glass panel to appeal to gamers, but someone may want it as a "upgrade to flip it" pc, new gpu etc

How much is my rig worth?

More importantly why is that 3570K running at stock clocks? ;)

Can’t believe it’s been so long that people have forgotten Catleap, Shimian and Crossover. These bad boys were the thing back in the day. 1440p IPS panels from LG, same ones used in the 2011 Apple Thunderbolt displays. Would come with an OC module which you could gamble with to get 1440p 120Hz, which in 2012 was a rare thing.

I just sold my non-OC Catleap for $105 on Trademe. I'm gonna miss it but it's just not the best for gaming. Such a beautiful screen in such a flimsy case :D

It's worth more in parts if you can be bothered selling it that way. The risk is you get left with one or two unsellable items and you would have been better off just dropping your pants on the system price to start with.

I've been trawling TM a lot lately to rebuild a couple of 3rd and 4th gen systems for my kids so can give you a rough estimate of what some of these parts have been selling for seperately...

Intel i5 3570k @ 3.4Ghz $50

16GB DDR3 $80 (assuming DDR3-1600 CL9)

Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard $50 (or up to $100 if you catch someone desperate for a replace mobo at the time)

Nvidia GeForce GTX660Ti graphics card $80

256GB SSD System drive $40

Monitor Crossover QHD270 (27" one bright pixel - not noticeable) $100 as above

Coolermaster CM690 II case $50 if good nick
