On a new PC (and new monitor) I am seeing a verticle line:

This is on monitor 2, connected to a graphics card (GEFORCE RTX3060) through the one HDMI port (VGA is the only other available port but the video card has no VGA port and on-board graphics vga port shows no signal).  Monitor 1 is connected to the same card via a Displayport port.

Is this an obvious monitor problem?  Note that there is only one merans of connecting Monitor 2.

Yea that looks like a fault with the monitor itself.
To confirm you'd need to plug it into another computer/device.

looks like a hardware fault on the monitor
Start the warranty process

If you can, plug monitor into something else to confirm (another PC, laptop etc )

Thanks for the responses.  I swapped out the monitor to another laptop with the same and different HDMI cables.  The problem is still there.  I no longer have a device with a VGA port so cannot test this but the bottom line is it must work with an HDMI device.  So off to Harvey Norman with it.
