was wondering how people deal with cookies warning

load a page and it says - manage cookies vs accept all

I normally just accept all

what do people do?

I normally say something rude to express my disdain for EU bureaucracy, before clicking one of the options randomly. Previously I only saw this when browsing through EU proxies, but lately it seems to be happening more with NZ-based browsing, including on some 'local' sites.

before the EU ruling I had no idea how many cookies are being fed to my browser.

when I click manage cookies nowadays I am shown a screen with no less than 100 lines of cookies.

I can't be bothered spending 10 mins clicking out every single line as my index finger will become skinless from moving the cursor around.

there are just so many cookies.

there must be a better, automated way?

browser - chrome on PC, safari on Mac

Where possible, I allow essential cookies only. If the site allows you to manage the cookies, they often default to essential, so it's pretty straight forward.

Otherwise I use Privacy Badger on my desktop browser.

thanks I did my first "manage" on the site formula1.com, there is no "essential" only, it gives me 100s of lines of cookies to unclick!

Did you scroll to the bottom and click reject all?

oh dear I didn't realise there is reject all!

I scrolled to the bottom in Safari and instead of stopping at the bottom it bumped me up a few lines thus hiding the 3 buttons.

cheers will do this from now on

Which for me proves why the EU rules are good. The number of cookies and options that a random website wants to.lay if often ridiculous. A bit like.some app permission lists.

Sorry had a big reply and lost it.

Most frustrating site ever is formula 1 via a mobile. Every country has a list of its own cookies.

I like to save my browsing history (not that I can ever find anything when I search my history!)
