HNY Geeks

Am I alone in wondering for the past (undisclosed period of time) that Google had done away with app passwords?  And to endorse this, it simply cannot be found in the Security area of a Google account like it used to, yet if you search for it, it magically IS there and alive and well?

Say I'm not alone please..!

All comments welcome.. condescending or otherwise!

thanks

frank

You still can make an application password, but you need to enable 2FA on the Google account and then create a secondary password.

that video is a year or more old I believe, Google must have changed things around a bit... I don't have the same menu options as displayed there.

Drill down into the "2-Step verification" menu by clicking on the right arrow ( > ) at the end of the line, then follow the on-screen prompts
See Sign in with app passwords
