Hi there.

Currently have a Epson XP-4200 for work, just a small printer. I'm out of Cyan ink, Yellow and Magneta are near out as well. Have a full tank of black ink in there, is there anyway I can "Force" the printer to print? I get the option to "Continue Printing using black ink" - But it doesn't actually work, the printer itself says it needs replacing.

Thanks heaps!

I have recently been down the road with a similar issue on my Epson Workforce and printing black only was not possible because the printer was always in maintenance mode to prompt to change the cartridge.

I think it's the newer firmware that does this TBH.

Since rolling back to older firmware I can print in just black if one of the cartridges runs out, I know this works because my black is a far bigger cartridge than the others, and it never runs out first. I am also now able to use the compatible cartridges which is a lot better.
