Is their a reason this is $2400+?

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/components/video-cards/pci-express/listing/4896629732

You can buy a 4080 SUPER, with more vram (16gb), for less than this.

Or a scam I guess. But someone spending that much on a gpu would surely realize the pricing is weird, wouldn't they?

lol no, it's not laundering, or at least it's very unlikely to be.  They likely have opted out of the 'race to the bottom' for pricing.  If they sell one at good margin, that's great.  If it does not sell, they have lost almost nothing but gained extra sets of eyes looking at their other listings.

Probably just another overpriced trademe listing trying to suck someone in.

Once again on my Trade Me travels and finding questionable listings.

Saw this post, and they want almost $10,000!  And it only has a 240gb ssd.

Not money laundering but certainly scammers.  take a whole lot of old parts, put them in a case with flashy LEDs, Windows 10(!) and sell it for $10k.  sure that will work!  anyone with $10k to spend on a gaming PC will hopefully see right thru this scam.

What about the two real RAM modules on the right and the 4 fake RGB only dimms on the left :D

2 RAM modules only, in the wrong slots.

Also the GPU looks to be powered by a single cable with 2 8 pins, but one plugged into some kind in splitter to give it 3.

If the fake RAM LED lighting looks super cool, that’s gives the performance of an extra 32GB of RAM and a 4090.
