My media PC uses a GA-B450M-S2H motherboard and an Athlon 200GE CPU.

After a power cycle it won't post. Doesn't even boot beep. just shuts off automatically, unless I remove the RAM.

I don't currently have any spare DDR4 ram or a spare MB, Anyone on the north shore have some spare hardware I can borrow so I can test if this is a CPU / MB / RAM failure?

Sadly it looks like most B550 Boards aren't compatible with the 200GE.

I have two old mboards with AMD CPUs & RAM gathering dust so if either would do for a replacement....

GA-GF2A88XN-WIFI with 16Gb RAM (not sure of the processor)

and

M3A78-EM with an old low-power CPU which was my media PC for a ling time. THis may need a GPU to make it do the things you want. This has 8Gb RAM. Might need a battery for the CMOS.

I can try and dig out what the CPUs are if interested.

Am on the North Shore too.

I have a B350M Mortar doing not much; the 200GE is on the supported list. In Wellington though,

Thanks for the offer. Ideally I want to try and test my existing CPU to see if it still works so I need an AM4 socket.

Looks like it is a bit more serious. Some blue smoke appeared last night

Well I picked up a replacement Gigabyte B450M K motherboard c/o Computer Lounge and everything is working again.

Getting really hard to find motherboards that are compatible with the Athlon 200GE CPU, which is a shame as it is an excellent low power unit.
