Hi, at the back of my antec 900 case I have about 8-9 cables running out of cable mangment holes. Now my question is, is it safe to have the back plate/cover on when the cables are phyiscally touching the back plate and is a very tight squeeze. Is this safe? will it damage the cables?

It's fine. Mine is like that.

As long as no cables running under the motherboard or sharp edges being forced onto the cables.
