Are RAM upgrades easy to do? I've never really been in a computer (too scared XD), but I've got a really horrible computer (which is my main computer) and I was wondering whether I could upgrade it. It's a Packard Bell and originally only had 256MB RAM. My mum broke the computer (lol) and got it fixed, the guy automatically upgraded the ram to 512MB because the RAM level was so low. I wanted to know if it's possible to upgrade RAM again and whether I can do it or I should get someone else to do it. And if I need to buy specific ram.

Thanks.

Upgrading RAM is one of the easiest PC upgrades to do.
We would need to know a little more about your PC before we could say, yes go ahead and how much you might want or need.
Download a utility called CPU-Z, and run that. It will tell you what type or ram you have, and how much, aswell as if you have any spare slots available for more ram.
