less power upto 40-60w than a 4870!!!!! :(


and less than 0.5fps in most benchmarks off a 4870X2 :S

Wow no need to buy a heater in Winter just use 2 x 5870's in SLI!

No point jumping yet, Nvidia's next gen card is only a few months away. Even if it's not as good at the 5xxx series from ATI it will bring the prices down.

Yeah the GT300 would be good to wait for, just to drop the prices, unless it's what they did with the previous 2 gens of cards, just renaming the 8800GT :( that's what turned me off them.

Still, if they brought out a card better than the 5870 at the same or lower power consumption, count me in :)

Hell yeah :) and you won't use as much power as 2x 4870s, so double the benefit.

I need a heat pump, guess I could convince the woman that it has dual purposes, although then she'll complain about me spending too much time gaming again
