Hey there, just wondering, anyone had any probs with this online retailer.

I'm just having some problems with them now.

They seem to be hit and miss depending on what you want from them...

They get a 2 star rating from GP Forums

Weve used them a couple of times at work without any issue but always low cost common items.

they are pretty risky to use, only use them for small items such as "memory cards or sticks"

never use them for:
HDDs, Motherboards, CPUs

They are really really ahrd to RMA, they always try and make you pay.

That's why it's often worth spending a tad extra or even asking ComputerLounge to price match priecs as they do that :) as long as the same item is in stock. I saved a lot on my custom Shuttle PC just by asking them to price match

I've never had any problems with them at all, even returning an HDD that was 3 months old. They always seemed alright to me, just a little dodgy with the way it was setup (different company that payments are going to, ringing up seems like its just ringing some guys house haha)

I found RMA'ing a brand new HDD that arrived DOA to be a somewhat slow and painful process, but it did get donr in the end. The only other issue I has was with a memory card being backordered for 3 months before I asked for the order to be canceled (which was done promptly and I was refunded)

Never had any issues from them when ordering parts.

have ordered 2xHDD's and different times and both arrived safe, and working.
1x TV tuner card
1x custom built PC
1x GFX card
2x Flash Drives
2x MicroSD cards
(Again, all at different times) and never had any issues at any time.

EDIT:

Purchases spanned from 2005-early 2009.

Yeah, well they are mucking me around now.

They've put up a wall of silence regarding my order. They do not answer their emails, and I cannot find anyone who speaks an understandable form of english. Even their landline phone just disconnects after a few rings - no answer machine.

This, by the way, stems from a mistake they made, and I am trying to get them to pay for fixing their mistake but they don't want to know.

In future, I will pay a couple of extra bucks.

What problem are you having ? RMA ? Purchase ?

If its for a purchase, then keep record of all your attempted contact with them and if you havent paid any money, then just dont. If they want to chase you for a restock fee or anything on an item they never got you, then wave your logs at them and talk to CAB (free lawyer for 15mins) - theyll probably drop it.

It is purchase related.

Some good news now, finally got a good english speaker on the phone. Explained the whole situation again and this person is sorting it out. . . just took a while thats all.

I think the main problem has been communication - they need to improve on that.
