I cannot play MOV files in Vista Home Premium 64 bit version on my new Toshiba laptop; I have installed Quick Time and one codec add on with no luck.  The exact error message I got was C00D11B1.

The same video MOV files will play in XP.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Thanks.

According to google, C00D11B1 - is a windows media player error, not quicktime.

It sounds like, that you might have chosen WMP to play your *.mov files.

When you righclick on the file, and chose open with and then find quicktime, does it play then?

There should be no need to install any codecs with quicktime, just quicktime on its own is fine. Otherwise, you can try "quicktime alternative"
