Hi,

i noticed that my parent's pc started showing fake virus pop ups and started downloading Paladin antivirus as the 'solution' to solve these pop ups.

After uninstalling palading through the control panel, the pop ups still appeared. I then tried to run spybot but it does not run. I have since then uninstalled and reinstalled that program a few times but it doesnt let the program run even though it shows up as a program in the task managen under processes. 

I then logged into safe mode and tried doing it again but the same result was happening. I then downloading Malawarebytes from another pc and transferred it via usb to this pc and the same thing. This wont let me run any antivirus or spyware remover.

I have since then disabled everything via the startup checkbox and the pop ups have disappeared but i still cant run a scan or use any antivirus either. I uninstalled avg and downloaded kaspersky. Same issue. Shows up as installed program but does not run even when u click on it via programs or desktop shortcut.

Kinda at my wits end tring to figure out what to do next!
