Hey ppl,

Has anyone had any issues with the HIS HD5770 1GB or for that matter any of the 5770's? Recently purchased one to replace a Nvidia 250GTS which had heatsink issues, but getting bad lag in BC2 with the 5770 even at 1280x720Res on Medium. According to reviews this card should easily out perform the 250GTS, but at present I find it struggles to even match it. I am aware it only has 128Bit Memory

Computer Specs:

PSU: 630watt
CPU AMD X2 7750 2.7Ghz
M/B: M4N78
Ram: G.Skill 3GB DDr2-800
Monitor: AOC 24inch LCD (FullHD via HDMI)
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
Driver: Current 10.5 Cat driver, have tried 10.6 as well with same results.

Hi there, from what I've been hearing Bad company 2 is quite CPU intensive and likes mult core CPUs
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/104990-13-battlefield-company-benchmarks-here
These benchmarks are in combination with an i7 920 and a few other people who report low FPS all have CPUs around your level or lower. So maybe a CPU upgrade is needed.

Desktop: i7 920, GTX 275, asus P6T, antec 1200, 6gb ram, 1tb spinpoint f1, 1tb spinpoint f3, Logitech Z2300, Zero DAC, Shure SRH440
Laptop: Toshiba satellite, T5300, Go 7300
Home Theatre: 32" loewe CRT, Harmon kardon amp, dvd player, image 418 speakers, rega planar 25 turntable :)

The AMD X2 7750 is a multicore CPU, Its Dual Core.

Also I have since found out that the problem was related to the ATi Display Driver and ATI have released a Hotfix for it. After applying the Hotfix the issue has disappeared.

As for the CPU causing the problem, that was ruled out from the start, as the game has run perfectly for many weeks on the same CPU and only started the trouble when I swapped the videocard out for an ATi Radeon.

Also several reviews of the game on AMD chips have shown that the game runs well even on slower AMD CPU's

By multi core I meant triple or quad lol. Good to hear that you got the problem solved though.

i have similar tendency to associate multi core as quad core and higher only. hahaha

crazed: glad you found out what the problem was. ATI has tendency to have issues with their drivers.
