Okay, so i don't have any of those motherboard standoff things and i need some.

Any ideas where to get some? Or could i kludge something together from some washers and longer screws from bunnings maybe?

Any ideas? I can't find any on any NZ websites except dick smith and im not paying $12.

know anyone with an old, dead computer that you can extract some from? perhaps you can go by your local friendly IT repair shop and see if they have any lying around... i had a bunch of extra ones, but they're buried in a box which is hidden somewhere i dont remember....

You could just make some up from spare plastic such as ice cream lid. I seem to recall doing this once one night when I was doing a new build when I realised I had no spacers either.

I've devised a method of making my own.

Does bunnings sell machine screws?

Where are you? We are tossing a bunch of old PC's at work you are welcome to them or I can pull some spacers out.
