It has reached that time again when ive run out of storage. Ive been looking at a few external hard drives and was wondering if it would be better to buy something from the likes of WD or Seagate or buy a HDD and an enclosure? Im looking at a 1TB hooked up to my ps3 to play movies. So i realise ill have to have it formatted as FAT32 with a 4GB limit. What would you recommend? Oh i would also like it to automatically turn off and on with the ps3.

Thanks in advance for the help :)

I would go with HDD and enclosure as it gives you an option to chose better HDD and the one you like more.

+1 for this option.

I bought one of these and 2x 2TB Greenpower HDDs. I actually got the enclosure cheaper than that but the whole lot still cost $500. <400GB to go til full then I dunno what to do Tongue out

Maybe get one of these? Undecided

I would go with any WD Green. these require less power and noiseless compared to others. and sure go for 7400 rpm and 32/64 mb cache.
