it's something I find completely useless and it's called "google url shortener" - " goo.gl is used by Google products to create short URLs that can be easily shared, tweeted, or emailed to friends."

...will it fly?? O.o

It was used by Google products unil yesterday. It's now open to everyone. People use these because they are convenient to make URL short (doh!) to send in IM, or other limited length medium (like Twitter).

Yes, it will be used. Just don't know how many of these services we need.

oh, thanks for clearing that up... i never though of it that way... I'm not much of a twitter junkie I recon that's the reason why I never payed any attention to the length of the address...
