So i recently bought a Revodrive pci-e x4 and found out that my mobo doesn't support enough power for both the GPU and the drive at the same time......sadly i don't have any other platforms i can use it with....should i wait out till i upgrade or sell it now and rebate myself a bit?

P7P55d-E just the basic one, it starts up and all but the revodrive isnt recognised as a storage device even with the drivers loaded so im thinking its something to do with the firmware (1207 or something for my mobo) i know they have newer firmware but there is also the problem of not being able to turn on the computer successfully everytime, i'm thinking this is due to the fact that there isn't enough power distributed around my mobo since my graphics card uses 2x 6pins of the pci-e supply......lol

Does it work OK if you take the graphics card out?

well i would have tried if my mobo had an integrated graphics card, or if i had a lower end graphics card lying around, but i don't see how i should sacrifice graphics for speed of the computer yet
