Hi just want to know not for anything important just doin somthinking

If a grpahics card hyperthreads it basicly takes memory from the main computer which i understand.

if you are running a 32bit OS (windows) which can have up to 4gb in theory.

and you put in 6gb would the grpahics hyperthreading be able to take that extra 2gb (asuming the card would hyperthread the full 2gb)of ram that windows can not see, . ie deos the hyperthreading happen on a motherboard/bios level or does windows/driver handle the hyperthread therefore it can not see the extra 2 GB of ram?

If you can please support your answers by links please dont guess if you dont know.
oh and please dont say just use 64bit os. cause i know you could do that i just want to know the theory behined this question.

Not sure what you mean by hyperthreading in this context.

Assuming you are talking about the "4GB" memory limit in 32bit OSes.
A bunch of PCI/legacy crap takes up a few hundred meg at the upper range and your video card will take up the rest (addressable space), so you're left with ~3.2GB actually usable by windows..

Correct, if you have 4GB and you want to use it all, use a 64bit version of windows.

yes i fully understand that as i said in the first posting.

I wanted to know if the hypermemory would see it or not. and it turnsout now it doesnt.

so heres how i see it, AMDs saying they've gone and tried to make onboard graphics good, but its not. They've tried lowering the amount of Ram needed to get X amount of performance out of your onboard graphics. Doesn't make it any better of a choice though as id always recommend an Actual graphics card also known as discrete graphics.

As far as i know despite if you had an extra 2GB there the graphics chip would not see it if you had a 32bit OS because the graphics chip goes through the driver which is OS side and the OS cant "see" it. Though I cannot prove this as you asked its my best educated guess, and trust me i'm well educated :P

The link you posted clealy staes what hyper memory is.
"ATI HyperMemory™ is ATI's innovative technology that enables a reduction in the amount of on-board memory on a graphics card without compromising its overall performance."

Onboard graphics is more than likly always going to take ram from the main system. this speficly states
"amount of on-board memory on a graphics card"

hypermemory is when the graphics card takes memory from the main system.

not when an "onboard graphics card" takes memory from the main system.

if you were intreasted earlier in the thread i posted ati's answer i emailed them
