Anyonelse suffered this strange problem? It's like a little audible beep...similar to that of a modem, and it only really happens when I'm scrolling up and down while browsing.

This is coming from a new PC build too, perhaps the PSU that came with the Coolermaster Gladiator 600 case is poked?

Hmm new development... when I change my win7 power settings to Performance, the PSU howls! Change to Balance and it only makes noises when browsing, change to Powersaver the sound goes away.

Back to the shop it goes methinks!

Dude! you were right about your build having some serious issues, any other problems with you components, maybe you could list them so I know what to stare clear of next time.

It sounds like the it may be the CPU cooler fan. Your motherboard can vary the speed of the CPU fan according to CPU load which may be triggering the fan to speed up when you are scrolling. If you set the power settings to performance it is probably just running the fan at full rpm. I suggest taking the box to bits and having a look at the CPU fan.

It sounds electrical, more like a hdd or modem as opposed to a fan. Been told its either capacitors or coils.
