Hi there,

I am really new to this website and i'm not sure if i have come to the right place but i have a question regarding text recognition.

My company is hoping to send out a couple of thousand customer surveys around various suburbs in our city and the thought of analysing each individual survey is very daunting! So, is there some sort of software we can purchase where we can scan all of the surveys and it will put all of the data into a document where it tells us some answers?

I have heard of a programme called OCR that recognises text and puts information into an excel document? I really don't understand this so any help would be much appreciated.

Is there any company in Christchurch that i could go and talk to?

Thanks heaps!

Hey there,
Could you please provide some more details about what constitutes the surveys? IE are they hand written, tick box or something else. Also how many pages are they and are they standard a4 or another size?

If its handwritten you may be looking at ICR but results can be marginal. There are some methods to get better results though.

I'll send you a PM with some more details.
