Hi all

it's been a while since i've put together a pc. last time it was with an athlon xp 2400+ and abit nf7 mobo, nearly 5 years ago probably. so i've 'lost touch' with it really

i would now like to build a pc and would like some recommendations on mobo, ram, vgu, cpu, hdd & case, and display. can look at onboard graphics if it is ok i.e can run some games decently

looking at a m-atx case or even a shuttle if it would last me a while. not playing games anymore but maybe occasionally an FPS or 2.

price range, about 700? or is that too low for a build?

any opions grateful...

thanks

My standard build these days is based around the mini itx lian li q11 case its really small and fits on your desk nicely. It's also ultra quiet even with a stock Intel cooler.

Look at the following config:

- Intel DH57JG
- Intel quad core i5 processor
- 4GB DDR3 RAM
- Lian Li Q11
- Enermax Tomahawk 355w PSU
- 40GB Intel SSD HDD

That is a tiny computer yet you can still upgrade with a full graphics card later if you wish.
