My new 3.5inch internal desktop sata II hard drive makes a loud noise that I'm not used to. I checked the s.m.a.r.t data and it is perfectly healthy and i scanned the drive for errors are there are none. Can someone please post here an audio file of a normal sata hard drive accessing some software just so I can compare the noise to mine.

I don't think that'll help much, as you have no reference for volume.

Can you describe the noise you're getting? What brand/model drive is it?
