hi

Has anyone had a tinker with Dells mini desktop , its an amd driven box, about the size of a dvd drive.
4 gig memory and amd duel core processor. Im interested but never seen one around to try out. Does any shop in wellington have them in stock?
Those all in one where everything is in the back of the screen look ugly, I dont want one of them in the lounge and dont want to go with apple. I though Sony may have one of these chocolate box computers but none to be found in willis street store.

thanks

You won't get one in a store anywhere - Dell's business model is one of an online retailer. Their only retail presence is laptops in a handful of stores.

I bought one the week they came out, as my HTPC in the lounge. I replaced an old Mac Mini used with the same purpose.

It works fine. We just use Windows Media Centre. Since there's no space for any card, we use a HDHomeRun networked dual tuner.

The Dell Zino works fine, and it fits well in terms of size. Not much more to it really...
