Hi All

I built a new pc on saturday, got the stuff from pbtech

case Cooler Master CM690
cpu I7-2600
MBoard Gigabyte z68-UD4-B3 Intel Z68
Kingston 6gb 1600mhz Non ecc CL9(9-9-9-27)
Western digital black 1TB
EVGA GeForce GTX550 Ti 1G DDR5
Cooler Master GX 550W PSU

New windows 7 64 bit only install drivers off motherboard cd and Nvidia 275.33

I wanted the I7-2600 cause of the price and speed and a asus motherboard, they were outta stock so the sales guy reconned this one GA-Z68X-UDA-B3 would be better anyway.

Now after the first day the computer ran fine, turned it off, started up sunday and it restarted its self after 1 min and then one long beep and no input on the screen.

Now the first card new one makes one log beep on start up nothing somes up on the screen at all.

So i changed out the new EVGA GTX550Ti with the old GT8800 i had lying around and all is go again. Runns for around 5 hours not a single problem.

Start it up monday morning and BSOD comes up, very strange, restart and now the screen has red lines down 40% of it, can get into safe mode but not normal.

Even when you go into BIOS the writing is all over the place.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

So on Monday did it have the EVGA GTX550Ti or the GT8800 in it?

the gt8800 to start with but that is now buggered so it has a ATI 3400 or something around there now. See how long this one lasts.
