Hi all!

Looking for a decent set of headphones with a mic, hopefully one that lasts more than a year, wired or wireless, (I don't mind). Used for skype and games etc.

Looked at dicksmith, found this logitech clearchat wireless headset worth $168, although one review suggested that it breaks within one year, while another one commented that it lasted 2 years.
Don't want any on Trademe.

Budget $250, prefer to be way less than that .

Recommendations and links?
Thanks

Well, for gaming I just use a cheap plantronics headset with a noise canceling mic.

Thanks TwoSteven, although cheap and nasty may play a factor in this.

Also I forgot to mention, would like a headset that is comfortable, (doesn't squash your ear flappers)

@bountypure1. Thanks that headset recommendation looks awesome for gaming, (well it actually looks bulky). I've made my decision, time to purchase that g35, old model, but has good reviews on it.

Thanks again guys!

yea it does look bulky. but its 7.1 surround sound ! :)
the last lan i went to, over half the people had that headset. Its just great bang for buck. Also you can download many voice changers for the mic, to spice up your skype experience :P some dude on counter strike had an Asian voice changer for his G35 and it was absolutely hilarious!

gz ftw

WOW!!!. What a Bonus! Can't wait to try that it out.
Does it come with the link to that or is it find the link your self?
That would really make people crack up, although It's all about the software and how good it is,  I might say one word and and it may come out as another word so it may not work that well.
Hah also at the same time, hides your identity, like on crime movies (with the deep voice lol)

Thanks for that info, gladly appreciate it.

I use a $10 one from the warehouse. Last about 12 months. Works fine for Teamtalk, vent, etc. I dont use it for computer games, only Comms.

Cool!. I did a bit more research and found out for a few extra bucks, the wireless logitech G930, (next model up) has better sound quality (from quite a few reviews), and plus no need for wires, also if the batteries does start to die down after about 10 hrs they say, then you can plug it in and still use the headset while its charging, AWESOME!

So the Logitech G930 is now the way to go for me.
