(if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it)
Im planning on selling a PC made of 2nd hand parts, Was wondering if you guys could say what your willing to pay.
this was my old CS:S gaming rig from whenever the 5770 came out. Does great runs quietly bit of a shame I don't have a better CPU but w/e

AMD athalon ii X2 2.6GHz (ish i cant find the box)
Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 (4GB ddr2-800 5-5-5-18)
Gigabyte GA-m61pme-s2
300watt powersupply
150GB hard drive
MSI 5770 Hawk
some random DVD-RW
likely to have win7 (depending on weather someone else in the family is using the key)

was hoping for $700-$750 (because of the gfx)

also is there any place you recommend to list it, ill try trademe but its "supersaturated" with home businesses and ill probably but it in the forum here

Heck no! I just sold my sister an AMD X2 250 - 3Ghz/4 GB RAM, 750GB HDD, Radeon 4850, etc for $400..
You won't get anywhere near $700 for it. (Unless I guess some sucker buys it)

well i guess we are all hoping for suckers when we sell things :L but just looking around $350 without the card (guess people don't value gaming grade DDR2 these days LMAO), and then the cards about $200 2nd hand..

$600 would be great /hopeful
$550 would be alright?

/salesman "it does have win7 ;D"

You can buy a good PC new for $700... PCs do not hold any value after a year now.

Unless it was for the kids to thrash about on I would not by a second hand PC now, like xpd says after a year or so I reckon they are virtually worthless. Might get a couple of hundy at best I reckon. If you can get more than that grab it and run away fast laughing.

I so basically this has told me, sell it via something with no IT specialist viewers XD.

try my luck in the local papers, its free listing if its under $500 so ill 499 ONO

another thought sell the PC w/o card for 300 (get it a stupid cheap card) and the card separately for 200

Another place to get an idea of what its worth is gpforums. However, they (like users here) know the true worth of gear... TradeMe users will always pay more compared to GZ/GP users :)

Almost everything there are the sorts of parts people sell for $1 reserve on trademe or under $20 buy now's with the exception of the video card which you can buy a new 5770 for $100. I seriously wouldn't offer you more than $200 with the video card included.

Your gaming ram has essentially no value over regular ram to anyone interested in buying this pc because of it's vintage.

Apologies, did not mean to come off as harsh, just giving an honest answer.
