I can't personally vouch for it, but amd has out sourced the previous generation so for budget PCs there really is not much choice. Reading the reviews there is a cross over between the AMD and Intel effectiveness ( for moneygoing from the midrange fx into the low range intel). In New Zealand especially where importing parts adds a few $ to it I think AMD has or should have a bigger presence in the price to performance charts.
