All of a sudden yesterday Google Chrome will no longer remember my username/passwords for any webpage.

The setting for this is on in the settings, nothing else has changed.

Really really frustrating, will need to change browser if I cant fix it. Have tried uninstallaing and reinstalling the browser but this doesnt do anything.

Any ideas?

So, it wasn't my brain playing tricks on me. I noticed that myself.

I am going crazy here.

I have tried reinstalling chrome, deleted all history/passwords etc but Chrome still wont remember my details.

As soon as i close my browser, i have to sign into everything again - including geekzone.

There has to be a reason for this....

In Options - Personal Stuff - Passwords - Manage saved passwords do you see any of the accounts you've saved?

If you save an account/password does it appear immediately in that list?

Yes, there is a whole list of data.

Everything used to work fine, it just suddenly stopped working.

If i go to sign into google for example, it will bring up my username and password, but i have to click sign in. The check box is always ticked to remember the details also.

With geekzone, i double click on the box and my username appears and I have to type in my password and check the box "remember password".

Both geekzone and google are stored in the saved passwords list.

FIXED!!

My wife of all people fixed it!

There is an option in Settings -> Under the Bonnet -> Privacy -> Content Settings

"Clear cookies and other site and plug-in data when I close my browser"

This option was TICKED for some stupid random reason.

Obviously i missed this when i was complaining.

Hope this solution helps others with same problem :)

Still not sure how it became ticked in the first place though.

Probably got ticked in one of the super secret hidden chrome updates that it did. Friend was complaining about something similar. Will let him know to look there.
