Hi all,

Interested to know if anyone can recommend an Inkjet refill shop in the Auckalnd area please. My Mother is in NZ and wants to refill her Canon Multi-function MG 5350 cartridges.

I personally use a local shop in Brisbane which use American inks and never had a problem with the same model. Wanted to avoid the cheaper trademe options as I'm unsure of the quality.

Thanks

Just don't use different brands for different colours, I found they don't mix properly.

I used DIY kits or 3rd party catridges from Warehouse Stationary. I get my laser catridges refilled at Catridge World.

Do you realise mono laser printers are only $100 now, and colour lasers are only about $300? I got entirely sick of the inkjet printheads drying and clogging, and the expense of new heads and catridges, so I switched to laser (mono) and it has been so much better.

I use a CIS from RIHAC: http://www.rihac.com.au/ It's probably only useful for people who print quite a bit, but it cuts ink costs down about 95%.

Thanks for the replies, mainly interested in individual tank refills at this stage.

Thanks for that info. I would get it simply so I never had to change cartridges.

Are the reservoirs refillable or do you have to buy another one when the ink runs out?

You can refill the tanks, check out their site. From memory it's about $8/100ml of ink. Epson/Canon charge about $30/20ml of ink. I've had mine at least a year, I print quite a few documents and the odd photo, the tanks are still about 70% full. I got a full set of refills when I bought it, I think I might need them in about three years!

I vote for Cartridge World. Get all my Canon inkjets ones done there and never had a dud in 5 years..
