Hi there, I am new to this forum.

I want to add a USB2.0 PCI Card to my PC this PC currently has 2x USB1 at the back and 2x USB1 at the front of the PC. The card I am looking at is: item number: 74997506 on Trademe.

The question is: can if I plug the internal USB2.0 port into the 2x USB1 ports in the front of my PC, will this make them function as USB2.0 ports?

Yes, it should do, as long as you have the connections to plug your existing ports onto the new card.

As that board does have an internal header then you probably can wire it to the front USB ports of your case.
If you open up your machine, see if you can find the wireing loom that goes from the front USB ports to the motherboard of your PC, then compare it to the white 4 pin header you can see in the picture of the USB2 card .. if they look like they match then you are in good stead.

Things to remember ... make sure you get the wires round right way, USB does carry power and if you have the volts going down the wrong pin you could very well fry whatever you are attaching on the end.
