GregV: Hopefully we are allowed to 'format-shift' video content in the future, to bring it into line with audio. Would be handy to convert the kids DVDs onto this for long car trips

Here is another tutorial that is basically the same instructions I used, same software too

http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad-tips-information-resources/286966-tutorial-handbrake-if-wanted.html

magu: What's the name of the app? I only found KeePassW which is not really a replacement. You need to export your password database as XML, losing all the encryption.

Seconded please

I know that we CAN format-shift video. It would be nice if the law allowed us to :)

Has anyone found a patch to change the photo gallery running in random when you are in exhibition mode?
I love exhibition mode when putting the TP on the touchstone, but it always starts with photo 1...also I have 6,000 pics in the folder it's selecting, but only seems to show about 30 pics then back to number 1.

Anyone else had that issue?

Does anyone know if there is a website that can track the status of our repair? I really don't wanna bother with the call center unless I really have to!

Just a quick question, I want to use my TP at uni more than I currently am, i.e. use it for note taking instead of carrying paper notes around. I was intending to buy the HP Bluetooth Keyboard but if I did it would ruin the portability of the TouchPad at the moment. It is currently in a official HP case, i'm wondering if anyone has come across or knows of any keyboard cases that would fit the Touchpad? Or any cases / sleeves / bags that would fit the Touchpad and Bluetooth keyboard while still being portable.

Lack of accessories made specifically for the touchpad is an issue here, I had a look online but there doesn't seem to be much around about it at all which surprises me.

Edit: There is this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EV4SDA/ , won't ship to NZ though so would have to go via Shipito / CGW. Pictures of it inuse are here: http://www.overclock.net/tablet-computers/1102844-hp-touchpad-skripkas-keyboard-folio-case.html

What puts me off is the 'slight bulge' the reviewer said it gets, doesn't exactly sound protective to me.

Also when will NZ have access to all paid apps, I've had Need For Speed Hot Pursuit on my Touchpad for a few days now and it is by far the best game I have come across so far I would happily pay $10 for it. Tilt to control the car and swipe gestures for other controls, as far as I can see it's not available on the NZ App catalog (I may have missed it?),

Ahh I guess mine are silver too, another thing the original one I purchased came with the latest update already installed but this one is currently upgrading to 3.0.2 now, have given a in-depth inspection around speakers using a very bright torch and no signs of any cracks
