From what I have been able to find out I should be able to right click on the file and choose the "Open With" option.

If Java(TM) Platform SE Binary isn't in the list already, find it through the Browse button. Mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe
The javaw.exe is the correct one, not java.exe.

I'm using XP.
I've done all that, it doesn't work.
fab: I had the same issue, used another pc and it worked fine.

You could try uninstalling and then reinstalling java or paste the code below into notepad and save it as a .reg file and try running that.
