Check your email folks, there's a voucher for SplashTop in this weeks apps from HP. Of course, people have immediately posted them to the forums (despite the fact that device owners should have the same email) so even if they do work in NZ, they're probably gone by now, but might be worth a try.

I've already bought the app, so no use to me.

Edit: Nevermind, less than an hour after the email was sent, they're all gone so can't even test them. Apparently they don't work in the UK or Canada so it stands to reason they wouldn't work here either.

Neither do I!

Does anyone know of any fixes for the horrible skype outgoing video quality?

Hmm, pretty sure I told it I was in NZ, I certainly get the NZ appstore. Odd.

I had a play with Skype the other night, I don't think there's much you can do about it, although mounting the unit so it stays still so doesn't have to deal with rendering the moving background does help a little.

I installed it this morning. I uninstalled all my patches and custom kernel beforehand just in case. It is much more responsive, seems almost faster than o/c 3.0.2.
It has also added a camera app for the crappy camera.

Sounds like a good time to finally contact HP about my speaker-cracked TP, and get a shiny new one to go straight to 3.0.4

Yeah i see on precentral that benchmark test of an OverClocked 3.0.2 is actually slower than a factory 3.0.4
Has anyone had issues with google accounts? for eg Gtalk not signing in?

Downloading 3.0.4 now. Have an overclocked 3.0.2 with UberKernel. Not removing prior to updates.

I don't think you'll need to OC it. It's blazingly fast.

I didn't uninstall anything and the patch applied just fine.

It'll be while until people get 3.0.4 sourcecode to compile the OC kernels with. Give it a couple of days at least. Same goes for the patches.

It does seem to be pretty responsive, the autocorrect changes are annoying though.

Got it to pair with my Android phone without any hackery, doesn't actually seem to be able to be used for anything though, so a bit of a waste of time, YMMV.

Have you tried a hard reset, there's a couple of ways of doing this but holding down the power and home buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds and then wait for the Touchpad to reboot should fix your problem
