1.- Hard Reset your PDA or Phone/PDA (it will clear out everything, it will make your PDA as if it was brand new, check manufacturer's instructions on how to do this)
6.- Install Bluetooth software and then make sure you get BT Ports within 2-11 ports
7.- Before installing anything at all on your PDA, do a Standard Partnership with cable, not yet with bluetooth.
7a.- Disconnect PDA, open Active Sync, File/Connections settings, uncheck USB and check COM port - same as BT software is using as serial connection (check with your BT Software), click OK
8.- have outlook open and then pair your pc with PDA. You'll see ActiveSync as service.
Try this a couple of times or for a couple of days before installing something else.
Hi wileyska, you're my hero! I finally got it back to work after numerous re-installing/uninstalling bluetooth/activeasync on my laptop. It was the pda/smartphone that needed to be reset.
