Not being able to use the athop real time board is a deal breaker.  Sounds like the resolution is to buy a new smartphone..............it wont be a windows one.

I checked this on an Iphone 4 which is 5 years old........it still works.

Out of interest, what are your Internet Explorer settings on the phone. Mine are currently:

Allow access to my location: On
Allow cookies on my phone: On
Get suggestions from Bing as I type: On
Allow IE to collect my browsing history: Off
Website preference: Mobile version
Open links from other applications on: The current tab

I've tried all sorts of combinations but still get "Service unavailable".

My IE settings are just at default settings. Checking them they are just the same values as yours.

Allow access to my location: On
Allow cookies on my phone: On
Get suggestions from Bing as I type: On
Allow IE to collect my browsing history: Off
Website preference: Mobile version
Open links from other applications on: The current tab

Just rechecked your URL using Stop 7152 - next bus 500 MISSION HTS at 13:00! Nice web-site, but no of use to me in Wellington!

Not sure what else could be different. My OS version is 7.10.8862.144 - which is whatever the 7.8 update was when it came over the air a year or so back.

The only  thing I had different was the website preference.  I changed to mobile and still doesn't work.  OS version exactly the same as yours.

Works on my Lumia 1520 running Denim.

Doesn't work on a Lumia 520 running 8.0.

Looks like the IE mobile improvements Denim brings help a lot. Would suggest raising the issue with AT.

Moved some furniture recently and found my long lost old LG C900K in a dusty corner, can confirm "Service Unavailable" on this device when mobile browsing to m.maxx.co.nz

I notice this seems to be the widget's default exception message e.g. if you enter an invalid stop number. So perhaps IE9 isn't compatible with recent site tweaks and an invalid value is ending up being submitted. Or maybe physical keyboard is affecting behaviour somehow.

A week or so later and my phone has updated to the Denin version (Nokia 925) and the AT Hop real time board now works using the default internet browser app. So my guess is that the web site was updated in some way over the summer and some 'older' web browsers now can't handle it properly.

Using the app from Appavate regularly now and very pleased with it.

Have played around with the new AT GPS track your bus app on my android tablet at home (not so useful using it at home tho) and although it seems a bit resource hungry on my very old tablet it does provide a near-exact location of where your bus is. Wish wish wish they would make a WP app for it yell
