Yep, I still have a Nokia Lumina 800 running WP 7.8!  yell My problem is that the AT Hop Real Time Board ( https://at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry/real-time-board/ ) which shows the status of buses arriving at a particular bus stop on the Auckland Transport bus network is no longer working properly. When the stop number is entered the location shows up okay (eg 390 Ellerslie Panmure Highway) but no bus information shows up, rather it just states "Service Unavailable".  This worked fine last year, but this year after the holiday break it no longer works on my phone.

I am thinking maybe an update to the website is no longer compatible with my ageing phone.  So if anyone else out there is running WP 7.8 I would appreciate it if you could try the above website with a valid stop number (eg 7152 or 7495) and see if it works on your phone.  (I have tried other mobile phones - Android - and the site works fine).

Thanks

Can you try the AT Realtime board app? it isn't official, but it works very well.

I don't know if it works with windows phone 7.8 though.

There only seems to be one version of the website that works for both desktop and mobile.  Have set IE website preference on phone to 'Desktop Version' but that makes no difference

The "Service Unavailable" message quite often pops up during normal use, but will be fine again if tried seconds or minutes later. The site currently works fine from my desktop using IE, Chrome and Firefox...

I also tried a third party browser (SurfCube 3D!) on my phone but still shows Service Unavailable.  So maybe some underlying software in the OS that is no longer working with that site?

Anyone with an older Windows phone (running WP 7.8) that can try it out for me please, just to confirm that possibility?

Cheers

Hey There!

I'm the developer of AT RealTime Board for WP8. Does www.m.maxx.co.nz still work?

If not, and you really really want it, I'll start digging for my old dev tools and create something for you.

I've tried the at.govt.nz page on a few 8.1 Lumia's and the pages all loaded as expected on each of them.
Not sure why it won't be loading on the in store handsets.

Alternatively you can also use the Here Transit application on Windows Phone 8 and above handsets to access the same information

Thanks Brent for trying that out.  On the https://at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry/real-time-board/ page did you try entering a stop number (eg 7152) and did it return the stop address (44 Symonds St) and the updated arrival info for the buses (eg 550 Howick and its time etc).  On the store Lumia 930 I got the address okay but no time info... just "service unavailable" message in the Route/Destination/Sched area.

Thanks

Also. does the Here Transport App on WP8.1 give you bus arrival times at a specific bus stop. ie Scheduled Time and Due time... like on the Real Time Board of the website?

There is a Nokia Transport App on WP7.8 but the "Transport Nearby" option is a little screwed up and gets buses and locations mixed up.  It gives scheduled times, but not real time due times.

Hi,

It sure did

Although it just occurred to me that the handsets I've been trying it on all have Lumia Denim on them so are using an updated browser.

Thought I'd add my experience.

Using Nokia 925 - Nokia Cyan is current version for it, so not sure what affect the Denim version will have but I was using AT realtime board on AT web site last year working OK also, and this year not working. Tried different browser on the phone with same result. Can't see why Denim would change anything.

As I'm using WP 8.1 I downloaded the Appavate app and it works OK, but I can confirm the AT Hop web site no longer functions correctly.

Web page loads OK and can type in stop number but after a delay only get the "service not available" message. Tried many times at different times with same result.

Shame.

But thanks goes to Appavate for an excellent app which works!
