That sounds correct. If you try with Bluetooth and it's similar then I'd say it's either a fault with the Bluetooth software on your laptop, or there's a firewall blocking things - even Windows Firewall, which is "invisible" and must be managed from the Control Panel.

Thanks Mauricio, when I find a solution I'll let you know.  I think I'll upgrade the firmware as a newer WM6(!) is available for the phone, and try again after that....
