Technofreak: "Should I give up and buy an Android device in frustration? (Because I sure won't be buying Nokia again - too crash-prone)"
And Windows 7 won't be crash prone? I have a Windows Mobile phone that I use for work, it's not the most stable platform out there. They can all have their issues, many times it's the third party software that causes problems.
myndlyz: hey guys, i was just wondering if the dell venue pro will work on any of the carriers in new zealand? vodafone preferably..

freitasm: Please, please, please do not recommend 2100MHz only handsets for Telecom XT. The experience will be bad, and people will then complain about the network, when they should not even use it to start with.

freitasm: Interesting, because if they're on T-Mobile it'd be 1900/2100MHz to start...

Dell Venue supports all three UMTS bands. 850mHz, 1900mHz and 2100mHz. Very interesting device.

I'm certainly hoping it wont be. Bear in mind that Windows Phone 7 bears almost no resemblance to Windows Mobile 6 - so in that sense it's a fresh start. And hopefully buggy third party software won't be am issue on WP7 - the software undergoes rigorous testing before users can even think of installing it.

Yep, unlike WP7, WM was based on Pocket PC designed for PDAs, which was based Windows CE designed for embedded devices. Windows CE was first released back 1996. So WP7 is fresh, but not sure how fresh coz it is based on Zune OS that was first used in Zune music devices, not phones.
Paulthagerous:
So the logical question then would be how stable are Zune devices? I don't actually know anyone that has one to ask...
