Thanks Mauricio,
Gee whiz I have just read some forum entries on Club Imate-there seem to be some very unhappy people around after rom updates.frozen machines
Im about to download the file from the ftp site and I already have the Bootloader file.
Im using a doc I found in the imate forums" How to Upgrade the Operating System of your Imate Jasjar Device."
I dont want to stuff this up at all.
Whats the AKU2 file-these files seem very confusing
Thanks

You don't need any other file but the update. Unzip it and execute and it will do everything.

I have the i-mate Jasjar running AKU2 since it was beta and have loads of programs - never had a problem with the Jasjar freezing.

They are basically the same, but the devices come with different versions of the OS, customised to the distributor's specifications. The ROM upgrade for an i-mate won't work on an Orange SPV or O2 XDA Exec - or not without some hacking, which can make your device a brick.
