I have the Imate Jasjar
I believe I can upgrade the ROM and Radio stack with this device.
Anyone now how its done??
Current stats for it are:

ROM Version   1.13.53 WWE
ROM date  09/23/05
Radio Version: 1.03.01
EXt ROM  version:  1.13.137 WWE
What would be the benefits if this was possible

This is my current configuration:

ROM: 1.30.76 WWE
ROM date: 02/20/06
Radio: 1.09.00
Protocol: 42.42.P8
ExtROM: 1.30.164 WWE

You just need to look at ftp.clubimate.com for the latest ROM update for the Jasjar, making sure you download the correct one (WWE and not Arabic or Portuguese or whatever else). You then follow the instructions to update your i-mate Jasjar.

All the information will be erased during the process, so you will have to establish a new partnership, and reload all programs.

One more question sorry-will I have to manually input the vodafone settings after Ive upgraded the firmware??

All settings are automatic - at the end of the upgrade the Pocket PC will restart and an application will guide you through the configuration, asking what operator to use, etc.

I think it's the file JASJAR_ME_13082_171_10900_wwe_ship.zip (ME for Middle Eastern version). If you download from ftp://ftp.clubimate.com it should require no registration.

hi thanks for that but when i load it on to my machine it says error cant run sotware, and the arabic sofware doesnt work, i have spv m5000 on orange uk, is there something i can do to make it work? thanks

you asked for the software for the i-mate Jasjar, and that's it. It's obvious you don't have an i-mate Jasjar, so it won't work.

Good - but no need for that. When you install the AKU2 update the Pocket PC will reboot and after that it will run a program that will ask what operator you are using - it will then proceed to correctly configure the Pocket PC for use with the appropriate settings.
