I've been really impressed with my K-Jam which I have been using in Australia for the last 4 months on a NZ prepaid Vodafone roaming connection. It has kept me in touch with all my emails, picking them up directly from my ISP (this all worked only after upgrading the K-Jams firmware) A 2Gb miniSD allowed me to download good sized attachments giving me the opportunity to ammend attached spreadsheets & review word documents all from the phone. I was able to both email & SMS photos taken on the inbuilt 1.3 megPixal camera & cheaply keep myself up with the play with NZ news using free RSS  feed readers. The built in keyboard is excellent for composing even lengthy emails. I discovered ways of converting DVD movies down to play on the phone & it performs well as a MP3 player as well.  When I'm back in NZ with my wireless broadband connection, it's setup to use the wireless connection in preference to the GPRS, so emails & surfing etc is all covered by my monthly ISP bill. I even use VNC to remotely view & control my PC so I don't need to get out of bed to change music tracks playing via winamp down the hallway.  I've only had one problem with it - the stylus doesn't alway "lock in" inside the phone & developed a tendancy to disappear (I'm on stylus no. 4  now)

All the phones mentioned have their merits... But I'm perfectly happy with my I-Mate K-Jam !!
