I don't know what will be the distribution model, if free or not. The party I was talking to did not disclose this information.

I'm using the h4150 because of Bluetooth/wi-fi, and the i-mate Smartphone2 because of, hmmm, phone. The i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition is used for testing wireless applications. I'm quite happy with these devices in terms of stability. Like my desktop or laptop, I don't install on my Pocket PC all programs I find.

Hi,

Got my i-mate Pocket PC Phone!
Now, how can I uninstall this program-PocketPC Expense from my i-mate? I got this program from Microsoft website and now can't seem to get it to run... and don't want it eiither, in hindsight.

For that matter how does one uninstall any program for i-mate PPC Phone? I don't see any Add Remove Programs? Is hard reboot the only option?

Cheers!

PS: Sorry for the Question.. go the Remove Program option. But the icon still continues to linger in the Programs . How do I get rid out that??

Herbium, 1.66 and 1.72 are ROM version of i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition.

In the case of a Smartphone2 the current ROM versions are:

Operator: 1.10.15.2 (Vodafone New Zealand)
Manufacturer: 1.11.15.32
Microsoft: 4.20.13349

You can download the latest ROM from the Club i-mate.

EH< replace the WHOLE motherboard!!!! next time make sure you get the old one back, they probably kept it for valuable parts. (sell them off at the going manufacturers price while they rob boards for spares.)

the bottom connectors are just surface soldered on. Quite easy to replace unless totally sheared off the board. (rare)

I recall my 6210 saga,

Phone needed a SW upgrade to stop crashing in WAP.
MFR placed european software on (asian phone)
phone malfunctioned non stop.
took phone back to MFR, was advised a week later phone was "Beyond repair and liquid damaged", there's no charge as they can just keep the phone instead of $75.
I "bought" phone back incorrectly assembled, with the asian software back on it!!!
Phone was not liquid damaged, I checked this myself. not a blemish on it.
Phone has served me well for 4 years now since in my carkit... not skipped a beat.
Beyond repair alright. it was a new phone they just wanted to strip,
