There you go... I never noticed this before. I am not sure it was there either, because I was using a pre-production unit. Who knows? Now it's flashed with Windows Mobile 6 anyway...

It was there on all pre-prod units.

I've just checked on my Telecom Treo 700wx  and it's there for sure. Telecom's configuration doesn't have the numbers though.

Yup, correct. The numbers aren't part of the PRI so, as the Telecom 700wx is a generic software build, it wasn't possible to customise those.

Umm, what GPS chip exactly?? If you're talking about the E911 support, well sorry, but that's not standard GPS, and can't be used for navigation.

Sorry.

right.. i have powered up the treo on my desk.

on the today screen you should have a voicemail button.. if you doint go to:
settings
today
items
tick "speed dial"
go back to the today screen.
now you should have a voicemail button
tap and hold the voice mail button.
choose "edit speed dial"
click advanced tab
put a tick in the "show voicemal buttons" box
ok.

now when you click on the voicemail button it will dial your voice mail the buttons will come up.

i read on xda-developers:

"It seems that the treo 750v have the MSM6275 Chipset : http://www.cdmatech.com/products/msm...t_solution.jsp
Anyone know how to activate the A-GPS like someone done on the htc tytn ?"

would be cool if it could be done.

Quicker way: on your Today screen click the right soft menu button "MENU", "Speed Dial Options", make sure Voicemail is highlighted, "Menu", "Edit", "Advanced".

Only thing with the VM button thingy is you still need to assign a numbered key to the on screen buttons to get it to work? or am I doing it wrong?

How is that really different? I still have to push the normal "5" key to delete the message.

Just looks nicer?

Now onto more serious business!

Would guess around 2 weeks roughly, give or take... it all comes down to the various levels of testing involved.

freitasm ...it will be interesting if there are any additions ie games blar blar in the VF ROM or things left out v.s the ATT ROM.

Would be good if you could do a comparison between the two.

If the ATT one is better or vice versa, I keep the better one.

Plus...re the comment about the ATT ROM being dodgy...The instalation of the ATT ROM is via your mini SD card...so if you don't like it or it sucks, all you need to do is do a hard reset without the mini SD card in and you're back to the old WM5 aren't you?

cheers

This blinkin pirate ROM is BURNING A HOLE IN MY POCKET!!!! hahaha!

cheers
