grolschie: All is not lost. There is this:
http://marxoft.co.uk/cuteradio/symbian/

I make no guarantees of safeness, but it seems to work ok. The first gotcha was that the search function defaults to podcasts, but can be easily switched to radio.

This guy has already put out updates for both the Symbian 3 (Anna, Belle) and Meego versions. I have it on both my E7 and the N9. It works well and is a very good replacement.

Quickymart; There is supposed to be a version for your variant of Symbian to be released in the very near future.

AHitman: If they had not announced the death of the platforms and let QT live Nokia would probably still be independent.
QT apps were supposed to run on Symbian AND MeeGo, plus any other platform that supported it..

I agree.  QT had a lot of promise.

Thinking about this one. I also looked at a 625 but this one is a bit more compact (smaller/lighter in my pocket):

Got a Nokia Lumia 625 this week for my wife. She had a HTC Trophy (Windows 7) which I dropped, so I passed my Nokia Lumia 1020 to her, which she broke. I passed my HTC One M7 to her but she really didn't like Android so I got the Lumia 625 - it's a brilliant mid smartphone, at a good price ($299) plus you get a $40 credit into your Microsoft account to purchase anything from the App Store.

I hope you bought a good after-market cover to make it wife-proof ;)

The 635 looks pretty good and it has 4G support as well, which is a bonus. Close in size to the 520 as well...

Thanks Regs. Any idea when "soon" is...and any idea of a price? smile

Dynamic: Loves her $100 Nokia candybar with 7-10 day battery life.

There's a big swing back to this lately, I know of a few people who are using phones as phones only now and tablets for anything 'touchy feely' instead.

Behodar:  turns out that the Menu button still exists but is on a completely unmarked part of the bezel. Is this supposed to be intuitive?

Agreed!  My old LG P500 has a physical button for this and I prefer it.

Awesome it's on 2degrees, means it would work on Vodafone :)

Only things I ask are...
Is it 4G?
Does the camera have a flash (most of the stuff I've read about it says no)?

Yes to 4G, no to flash. Does have quad core & on-screen software buttons vs. the 625's dual core & capacitive keys. Both WVGA res, 625 has lower pixel density, bigger screen, slightly bigger battery to go with. 635 has Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. Both pretty decent entry-level 4G devices, can't go too far wrong. :)

Personally I find the 635 way nicer to use than 625 even without the FFC and flash. Its way snappier speed, feels nice in your hand, and I much prefer the screen with Nokia pure black.
