Yeah that was me on the standard iOS keyboard.  With something like Swiftkey I can knock out a full multi-paragraph email quickly and accurately, with just one thumb :)

And they're here! Well, the first tiny shipment anyway. Ten units of KEYone landed in the PB warehouse this morning - one has gone already(!). More stock next week.

Have at, folks.

Hi Nik,

I wanted to PM you about another phone PBTech had on its site a week or so ago but is now showing out of stock. There's no PM option associated with your options button. Rather than hijack this thread is there some way to contact you?

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Hopefully ordered mine today. Looks like they are out. Were 3 left when I placed it this morning. Hopefully mine is one of them. Is the dream real? How are you guys finding it?

Cheers,

Loving mine, battery life is superb. Double tap the screen to wake it up, thumb on space bar to fingerprint unlock. Performance is good. Feels like a prestige item. Physical keyboard is everything I hoped for, it is also touch sensitive so can be used for scrolling, particularly in landscape mode. It has three columns of auto complete, just swipe upwards across the keyboard to pick the word. The simplest thing is one of my favorites -the notification LED.

Note that the phone has USB C for charging, not Micro USB.

The battery life does come at a penalty, it's a heavy phone.

Hi Nik, will you be getting any more KeyOnes in stock? If so will it be included in your upcoming sale? Thanks.

Yes and yes. ETA 4th August.

Apologies for the delay on photos and KEYone thoughts, has largely sat neglected in my bag this week since I've been working flat-out on the sale. That said, the battery standby is very good.

For those who would love to go hands-on, there will be a demo unit at the techXpo next month.

Few thoughts. Really enjoying the phone in terms of the launcher and the ability to customize everything. I do have a few complaints about the hardware however. The key one suffers from the death grip situation that the iPhone used to suffer from. A case will likely fix the issue. One thing though is my sim tray cover is poorly riveted onto the tray and it moves in and out of the phone. Pretty disappointed. Is there anything I can do in terms of getting another tray NikT?

Thanks Nik, always appreciate your updates.

I missed out on the first lot (waiting for payday, curses!). Before I drop some money though, any (inside) word on the Black Edition?

Hmm, that's disappointing to hear. Drop a line through to ra@pbtech.co.nz and we'll hit up BlackBerry for you.

No problem. Haven't heard anything official and suspect it will be region-specific, but I'll ask the question.

Anyone else having bluetooth issues?

When using headphones, the connection seems to keep dropping. Won't connect to my car audio at all, and I'm having significant issues with my Pebble smartwatch (high battery drain on the watch and now having difficulty getting it to connect at all).

I've just upgraded to the AA0472 build but that doesn't seem to have fixed it. I've tried the obvious troubleshooting steps (reboot, connect and re-pair etc.).

FYI folks - Black Edition is confirmed for availability in the next few weeks. Direct replacement for the silver version, very similar pricing.

EDIT: Available now, RRP $1049 NZD.
