Technofreak: I see the Ovi maps now has the speed limits on the main state highways now, not just some sections of motorway as in the past. This includes the speed limits in residential areas so long as that road is the state highway.  Note this is not all state highways just the major ones.

Well done Nokia!!!!

It is not just State Highways.  A bit random, but includes a number of main residential streets that are not SH that we have driven on recently; eg Whangaparaoa Rd (Auckland), Cashmere Ave (Wellington) & fairly certain a few in Christchurch when we were down there at Xmas.

Great to see.  But still waiting for final release of 3.06 - except I have seen 'complaints' that the 3.06 beta maps are less detailed (/ less up to date) than the 3.04 maps.

Yes, the map data seems to have gone back a version. Alot of the speed zones have gone! Just a few motorways.

Being that it's in Beta please make sure you pass on these comments on http://betalabs.nokia.com so these issues can be fixed in the release.

Cheers.
