i might be too slow as well, rexhavoc.  This is why i am not happy with what acquire did.  I thought once they accepted my order that I already have one.  At that time, Rexhavoc also posted that he might have 10 units (i think) allocated to him/his company and I don't want to be greedy and gave chance to others who ordered late at acquire.  but now that my order at acquire was unsuccessful, I'm left with nothing.  I should have picked up one from rexhavoc at that time.

So, if you still have more units coming your way, can you please reserve one for me...

thanks

RexHavoc: Wholesaler pricing has come through this morning... means our price (if we are lucky enough to get any) will be around $170 for the 16GB model. That includes GST & Delivery.
Also just received this reply from the wholesaler...

so does that mean all of us might still hve a chance in getting it?

"Hi Mark,I have already put down an order for you, if I get some you will be the first we supply.
If you check every Retailer ad Disty is doing the same thing.
Issue is that HP still have not given instructions."

If you do end up getting a few in I would be very interested in getting one.
I sent an email inquiring about the Touchpad to pp.co.nz at 11:59am yesterday morning.

I emailed Mark (Rex) at PP yesterday a little after 10am yesterday. Hopefully they manage to get some in as I'm still keen.

I'd also recommend people keep at JB HiFi. Our local store (Westgate) acknowledges they still have stock, but said that they're not allowed to sell it. Apparently Head Office is still deciding whether to instruct stores to send the stock back to HP. I was also told that I was welcome to call back to check the status of that decision.

I doubt that very much. We will hopefully get 10 units. I dont know if they will be 16 or 32GB. My gut feeling is the longer this draws out the less likely it will eventuate. I wouldnt be suprised if the wholesalers staff get first option on whats left and the dreggs divided up amongst the resellers.

As it is, if we get some they will be offered to those who emailed/pm'd me yesterday in order, on a first come first served basis only. Currently theres 50+ in the queue.

Ditto,  would be gutted if I had sent an email to the wrong address!
Would be happy to pay $170 if my email was fast enough( and in the right inbox!).
Cheers

Same time as me :)
Mark said they might only have 10, so I wonder who emailed him first.

I'm in a similar boat. I thought that with my lowish order that I would get one as I was working on the assumption that they had either 242 or 95 available. Based on that, I didn't email rexhavoc when I saw the post. Now, I have nothing...
Oh well, that's life....

Same here. I was so quick with my Acquire order that I felt almost too confident and didn't want to get greedy so didn't email Mark when I saw his post, but ended up emailing him much later in the day after my Acquire order fell over.

Hindsight is fantastic, but too late!

those numbers of 242 and 95 are directly from Ingrams price list that they send out to their resellers once per day. It is not a realtime reflection of their (the resellers) own stock.
