I could wait for Samsung Focus (Omnia 7 but for AT&T USA) to come to Telecom but read that it's totally plasticky which is why it's so light. gsmarena has posted an review of Omnia 7 and said it's brilliant hardware.

Darn. The plastickyness (is that a word?) of the LG Optimus is precisely why it doesn't interest me. My preference is for solid phones. And I don't mind them being a little heavier if they have to be.

hey mate, im really interested in this phone as well. so this phone will work fine on vodafone? im feeling really excited about windows phone 7, it just looks so different to anything ive ever seen.

Yep it will work fine with both Vodafone or 2degrees. Supports UMTS 2100mHz and UMTS 900mHz so getting q 3G connection around most of the country should not be a problem.

Hey new here, but been keeping a keen eye on WP7 and that Omina 7 phone looks very nice. I was dissapointed that NZ launch line up was only 2 phones. Even though the HTC trophy don't look too bad, everyone raves about these super AMOLED displays. Will this phone be sweet to run on XT since it's unlocked and all, or is the MHz in the wrong range. Any help would be awesome, Cheers

Just a heads up. Dell venue pro is now available for pre-order via clove.co.uk

cheaper than Samsung Omnia 7. Works on both Vodafone and XT. Most prob going to cancel my Omnia 7 order and get this instead. Date is confirmed on this model for 8th November and looks sexy compared to the Omnia 7.

Its only HSPA 850, 1900 and 2100 so will work on Voda 2100 only, not 900 extended coverage.

Personally, i'd touch the Dell but let us know your feedback when you have it.

Hey BillGates is that $963 or whatever it was, the full final price for the Omnia? Because the price on Clove is 499 pounds incl VAT which works out to over $1000. I still prefer the look of the Omnia over the Venue Pro, Cheers

outside EU, customer's don't need to pay any VAT. So it's 425 pounds + 24 pounds for shipping.

Dell is 50 pounds cheaper. I still have not cancelled my order for omnia yet. Will ring clove tonight and enquire about few things. Good thing about Dell is that it's a confirm date of availabily on clove's website where as they are still waiting for confirmation on thr omnia 7.

Haha, i had no idea about vat and all. Never imported anything. Cheers for that. Wonder why the dell is cheaper? i must admit its a nice looking phone but im not into sliders of any kind (personal preference) Im keen as on that Omnia.
